Research and Survey
Research studies are an integral aspect of Action Nepal, ensuring the quality of work and outcomes. Action Nepal undertakes research in a variety of fields, including public health, health economics, policy formulation, cost analysis of tobacco-related disease diagnosis and treatment, and climate change to produce evidence to formulate time tasted plans and policies to promote public health in Nepal.
Research and survey conducted include:
- COVID-19 and its association with Smoking and Alcohol consumption: A Case of Nepal
- Assessed Market Retail Price (MRP) of Tobacco Products in Nepal, 2021-2022
- Assessed and measured Nepal’s sustainability in tobacco control in terms of structures, policies, and resources that are required to sustain a national tobacco control plan.
- Conducted compliance studies and assisted the Mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City in creating Bharatpur a smoke-free city by achieving at least an 80 percent compliance rate.
- Conducted research on Cost Analysis of Diagnosis and Treatment of Tobacco-Related Cancer in Selected Hospitals of Nepal.
- Conducted research on Cost Analysis of Diagnosis and Treatment of Tobacco-Related Cardiovascular Disease in Selected Hospitals of Nepal”.
